The feverish contacts in the EU countries’ attempt to bring about the signing of the nuclear agreement with Iran continued in several arenas. But the head of the US delegation, Robert Mali, who is also a participant in the Doha Forum, said that even if an agreement was signed, “sanctions against the Revolutionary Guards would continue under US law, and our attitude towards them would not change.” He clarified that no decision had been made to remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of terrorist organizations, and it is understandable that the US and Qatar would continue with certain sanctions against them, contrary to the demand raised by Iran.
