Ilham Aliyev’s “amnesty” order is disrespectful to the public.
First of all, because if there was going to be any amnesty order these days, it should have been on May 28 – on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the establishment of our state. How can the founding anniversary of the state be sacrificed to the father’s anniversary?
This order is a shining example of putting the interests of family power before the interests of the state.

Secondly, while there are more than 100 political prisoners in the country’s prisons, while 801 prisoners were released by amnesty, the release of only 2 political prisoners is a demonstration of the regime’s loyalty to the policy of repression. By the way, I congratulate political prisoners Ali Aliyev and Elchin Mammad, who will be released by amnesty.

This “amnesty” order is also his message that Ilham Aliyev will not give up his policy of ruling by force, arrest, and repression unless he is forced to.
However, when forced, he can release many political prisoners with one order. We well remember that after the rally of the National Council on January 19, 2019, 51 political prisoners were released by Ilham Aliyev’s amnesty order.

This incomplete amnesty order exposed not only the family power, but also the “multiples”, intellectual flatterers, and those who support the regime with various excuses, who discourage people from active struggle by saying “don’t rush, the government will change slowly over time”.
This incomplete amnesty also revealed that the approach of some international circles, which claimed that it would push Ilham Aliyev to gradual reforms, was wrong.
But despite all the negativity, let’s not forget that there is a way out of even the most difficult situations. The way out of the current sad situation is for our people to join the struggle for freedom and justice in an organized manner, without believing in false promises, without relying on anyone, believing in their own strength.
