The chairman of Commission III DPR RI said that the previous 2024 presidential election had not been finalized because the KPU was still completing the manual recapitulation or real count.
The KPU, said Sahroni, only announced the real count results on March 20 and parties who objected were given time to dispute the recapitulation.
“There’s a rebuttal period, right,” said the man who was born in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
Sahroni said the real count results were likely to attract objections after a stir emerged in the public regarding the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap).
NasDem, he said, had advised the KPU to carry out a forensic audit of Sirekap to ensure transparency regarding problems in the system.
