When political negotiations are underway, just as important as what is said is what is avoided. In the last few hours, we have had one and the other. And everything that is said and what is left silent goes in the direction of Pedro Sánchez winning the investiture when the time comes, which will probably be during the month of October.
The parties that are going to confirm it are spending these days talking about it normally, because their objective is, precisely, to normalize the price that will be paid in exchange.
For example, the leader of ERC, Oriol Junqueras, has insisted that the amnesty law has already been agreed with the PSOE. He even says that he takes her “for granted.” In short: everything that happens between Pedro Sánchez and those who have to give him their vote is heading in the direction of that being precisely what happens: that they give it to him, that he obtains his investiture, and that he renews in the post.
The price is not cheap. But, as Sánchez himself says, he will look for votes under the stones. A euphemistic formula for that maxim according to which the end justifies the means.
