Maria Zakharovathe spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on his Telegram page that the peacekeepers “took the blow for the sake of peace in the region.”

Zaharova emphasized that the Armenian recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan was the final settlement of the issue, and Paris and Brussels encouraged it.

They should be asked why Nikol Pashinyan (Armenian Prime Minister) and the Armenian authorities acted in this way, and why Paris and Brussels persuaded the official Yerevan to do this

he added.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that the peacekeepers had not experienced any violations of the ceasefire since 1:00 p.m. local time.
