Jacob Cohën to Expand US footprint with New York Flagship, Eyes Lifestyle Brand Evolution

Meta Description: Italian denim specialist Jacob Cohën is set to open its first US flagship store on Madison avenue in May 2026, alongside a broader expansion into lifestyle products and a refined Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection.

Jacob Cohën, bolstered by a 5% revenue increase to 80 million euros in 2025, is strategically expanding its global presence with the planned opening of its inaugural American single-brand store. The 280 square meter space, slated to debut on Madison Avenue in new York City towards the end of May 2026, signifies a major investment in the lucrative US market.

“The first floor will be dedicated to women and the second to men, with a lifestyle concept,” explained a company representative to FashionNetwork.com.The American market is already a key revenue driver for the brand, generating 3 million euros in wholesale revenue and ranking as the top country for e-commerce sales, surpassing Germany and Italy. This success has fueled the decision to establish a direct retail presence. Prior to the New York launch, Jacob cohën will inaugurate another store in Monte Carlo at the end of April.

The brand’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection, unveiled during Milan Men’s Fashion Week, showcased a move towards a more extensive aesthetic. The presentation, designed by Fabio Chrestich, transformed a space into a denim-clad luxury hotel, highlighting the versatility of the material. Garments featured intricate details such as leather inserts, stitching that emphasized the brand’s signature trapezoid logo, and carefully applied rivets.

A Shift Towards Refined Materials and Total Looks

The collection emphasizes luxurious materials, including soft nappa, suede, deerskin, and sheepskin for outerwear. Double cashmere, in both classic and Prince of Wales patterns, features prominently in tailored coats. Down jackets and jackets crafted from Loro Piana fabric incorporate the Storm system treatment, balancing comfort and practicality. A key innovation is the “Blue Silk Cloud” project, utilizing recycled denim, silk, and polyester for garment padding.

Denim remains central to the Jacob Cohën identity, appearing in relaxed-fit shirts and five-pocket designs. Sweaters, crafted from cashmere and cashmere-silk blends, are offered in colour-blocked designs and geometric patterns. The color palette draws inspiration from autumn, encompassing shades of brown, burnt sienna, dove gray, moss green, ocher, and ice blue.

For women, the collection emphasizes detailed craftsmanship and flattering silhouettes, featuring strategically placed slits in skirts, open backs on silk shirts, and structured shoulders on jackets. Suede and ponyskin are utilized for trench coats and cropped jackets, while denim incorporates contrasting leather detailing. The women’s palette includes brown, dove grey, ivory, shades of green ranging from forest to sage, and accents of “electric” purple, gray, and indigo blue.

“Since Spring/summer 2026, there has been a radical change in the development of the collection, an expansion towards the total look and an expansion of leather garments,” stated a senior official. “We are bringing the typical details of our jeans to the upper part, such as buttons, rivets, the poems printed on the inside.”

Expanding Beyond Apparel into Lifestyle Products

Jacob Cohën is actively diversifying its offerings beyond apparel, embracing a broader “lifestyle” concept. The brand has introduced denim and leather padel racket holders and recently launched a hemp-based beauty line developed in collaboration with a natural essences company. This line extends the brand’s signature fragrance – previously used in garment washing – into a complete range of hair and body care products, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body cream. Additionally, Jacob Cohën has created branded hotel amenity kits and a wooden beauty box designed to be repurposed as a jewelry box.

This strategic shift signals Jacob Cohën’s ambition to cultivate a holistic brand experience, solidifying its position as a luxury denim specialist with a growing lifestyle presence.
