jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The city of Jakarta is proposed to become the legislative capital after it will no longer be the state capital.

This proposal was raised at the DKJ Bill Working Committee (Panja) Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday (15/3).

“Earlier the proposal was very progressive, even Mr Hermanto said, ‘Can the capital be divided into three?’ “There is a legislative capital, so that the legislative capital is in Jakarta,” said Chairman of the DPR RI Legislative Body (Baleg) Supratman Andi when chairing the DKJ Bill Working Committee (Panja) Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday.

Supratman considers that at the discourse level the idea of making Jakarta the legislative capital is something good.

“I think it’s an idea in the discourse that is being built, that’s good. Maybe there will be a judicial capital so that all the court institutions will be there one day, for example,” he said.

He also joked that this idea could be in line with legislators in Senayan who were still reluctant to move offices to IKN.

“Even though it looks like everyone is still reluctant, everyone is appointed to an office at IKN,” he said.

Previously, DPR RI Baleg member Hermanto proposed that the capital be divided into three clusters, namely the executive, legislative and judicial capitals.
