STOCKHOLM. Jannik Sinner leaves the scene in the second round (eighths) at the Stockholm Open, an ATP 250 tournament with a prize pool of 635,750 euros that is being played on the fast indoor Kungliga Tennishallen in the capital of Sweden.
The 20-year-old South Tyrolean tennis player, No. 10 Atp and first seeded, bye in the first round, surrendered on his debut to the Scottish Andy Murray, No. 143 in the ranking (but former number 1 in the world) and on the scoreboard thanks to a wild card, with a score of 7-6 (4), 6-3 in two and a quarter hours.
For the South Tyrolean tennis player, who saw the dream of the Atp Finals fade right in the final of the season (unless defections at the last second) a new disappointment after the defeats with Tiafoe and Alcaraz in the last two tournaments.
