Mexico City closed the year 2023 with a series of achievements in mobility and public works. The capital government completed a series of projects that will improve the quality of life of the capital’s residents.

In terms of mobility, Mexico City made significant progress.

In this regard, the head of government, Marti Batres, said that on January 27, 2024, Metro Line 12 will reopen its doors to users, after the conclusion of the reinforcement work on the elevated metal section.

In addition, the reopening of the underground section of Line 12 was completed, the Metro-Energía substation was opened, the first section of Line 1 was delivered, work on the second section (Observatorio-Salto del Agua) began, and progress was made. in the basic civil works of Cablebus Line 3.

In terms of public works, the capital government also made important progress. 270 public education schools were attended to, the Box Tepito School of Technology Baccalaureate school was completed.

The Casco de Santo Tomás Campus of the Rosario Castellanos University was also inaugurated, 73 health centers and 2 general hospitals were rehabilitated, and the goal of tripling the level of lighting in the City was achieved. In addition, the sculpture of the Young Woman of Amajac was unveiled and a thousand kilometers of safe trails were built.
