Jeddah: Japan tourism visa for those in Saudi Arabia has been made online. The Embassy of Japan in Riyadh has announced that expatriates from any country residing in Saudi Arabia can apply for a Japan tourism visa online, just like Saudi citizens.
A single entry visa with a stay of 90 days can be obtained online. The visa will be valid for three months from the date of issue. Embassy officials urged applicants to submit their application at least seven days before they intend to arrive in Japan.

Meanwhile, the Embassy of Japan in Saudi Arabia further informed that as electronic payment is currently not available, the applicant or substitute should approach the Embassy in Riyadh or the Consulate in Jeddah in person to complete the fee payment.
