The beauty industry is in mourning following the unexpected death of celebrity makeup artist Jasen Kaplan.
Jasen Kaplan-whose clientele included Eva Longoria, Bethenny Frankel, and kelly Osbourne-died on New Year’s Eve at age 46, according to multiple reports. Kaplan’s artistry graced countless faces, but those who knew him remember a warmth and generosity that extended far beyond the makeup chair. The cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed.
Shortly after news of his passing circulated, clients and friends shared heartfelt tributes. frankel, who collaborated with Kaplan on several campaigns last summer, described him as more than a professional. “jasen Kaplan was not only my makeup artist,but also my friend and a constant part of my team,” she wrote.
In a December 1 Instagram post, Frankel elaborated on Kaplan’s impact. “Jasen Kaplan had a positive energy that was truly infectious,” she shared.”He was fun, vibrant, and always brought his A game.
