THE SUITE to Debut Global Collaboration ‘Weekend’ with Jin Min-ho via AURORA Platform
A new musical chapter begins on Thursday,July 20th,as the duo THE SUITE prepares to release their debut single,”Weekend,” featuring vocalist Jin Min-ho. The song will be available on various online music sites through the global music platform AURORA at noon KST.
“Weekend” is crafted as an anthem for those experiencing the initial stages of romance, marking the first offering from THE SUITES forthcoming “SUITE (collection).” The duo is comprised of established producer Baek Sang-yeop and guitarist LOOGONE, both recognized figures in the Korean music industry.
Baek Sang-yeop brings over a decade of experience as a music production director, having overseen A&R and production for prominent artists including MBLAQ, Madtown, and KARD. He is also currently gaining attention for his appearance on the SBS Plus and ENA entertainment program “I am Solo,” where he is known as Gwangsu. Reports indicate that gwang-su and his partner from the show, a dentist named Jung-hee, remain in a relationship.
LOOGONE has garnered acclaim for his nuanced lyrics and melodies, contributing to hits by artists such as Huh Gak (“Common Breakup”) and Davichi (“Fanfare”). The collaboration between baek Sang-yeop and LOOGONE traces back to 2012,when they first worked together on Jeong Eun-ji and Seo In-guk’s “Our Love Like This,” an insert song for the popular drama “Reply 1997.” Baek Sang-yeop managed Eun-ji’s A&R at the time, while LOOGONE handled the song’s arrangement. as then,they have fostered a strong professional relationship,culminating in the realization of their long-held ambition to create music together with “Weekend.”
