Caballero was apprehended on December 17th in Cuernavaca, Morelos, by agents of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the FGR. The operation involved close coordination with key security agencies, including the Secretariats of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), National Defense (Sedena), and the Navy (Semar), as well as the National Intelligence Center (CNI). following his arrest, Caballero was transported to Altiplano prison for medical evaluation before being placed at the disposal of judicial authorities in Almoloya de Juárez, where the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) will seek an initial hearing to formally press charges.
