JetSMART expands its connections in Colombia with San Andrés and Cartagena

JetSMART Airlines has begun its operations at the Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena, connecting this historic Colombian city with important national destinations but, in addition, the company belonging to Grupo Índigo, continues its expansion in Colombia with the opening of a new route between Medellín and San Andrés, strengthening air connectivity and promoting tourism on the island.

With prices starting at $132,500 pesos, the airline offers five weekly flights between the mainland and the island, providing travelers with an affordable and convenient option to explore this paradisiacal destination.

For its part, the arrival of JetSMART at Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena marks the beginning of a new era in air connectivity in Colombia, offering more flight options and destinations for travelers, as well as boosting tourism and the local economy.

In its first stage, JetSMART offers eight national routes, including flights to Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Pereira, and aims to transport two million passengers in its first year of operation.

The CEO of JetSMART, Estuardo Ortiz, expressed his pride in offering accessible and quality flights to all Colombians and noted that “The airline is committed to the growth of the country and is committed to connecting more people with more destinations.”

Victor Mejia, Chief Commercial Officer of JetSMART, expressed his “satisfaction” by offering “quality flights at low prices to all Colombians.”

With a fleet of 35 state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft, JetSMART has transported more than 25 million travelers on more than 75 routes, consolidating itself as one of the main options in the aviation market in South America.
