Winston-Salem, North Carolina, December 23, 2023 – WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “The Mouth of the South” Hart is celebrating an early Christmas miracle: his beloved megaphone has been returned after being stolen last month.
A Christmas Gift Delivered
The iconic wrestling personality announced the good news in a video posted online, expressing his gratitude to those involved in its recovery.
“Guess what? We’ve got it back! Thank you WrestleCade, thank you Tony Hunter, thank you everybody involved, this is unbelievable! Now I have my megaphone back, what a great Christmas present this is for me. And I want to wish everyone out there a merry, merry Christmas,” Hart said in the video.
How the Megaphone Was Recovered
The recovery came after the megaphone was taken following WrestleCade, an event held at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. According to WrestleCade, the individual who took the megaphone proactively reached out to them, and arrangements were made for its return to Hart.
WrestleCade had initially announced that the Benton Convention Center’s high-definition cameras were being reviewed by local police on December 2, should the person not come forward. However, Hart clarified that he wasn’t interested in pressing charges, stating his primary goal was simply to have his megaphone returned.
What makes Jimmy Hart’s megaphone so iconic? It’s been a signature part of his persona for decades, used to amplify his boasts and direct his wrestlers during matches.
The return of the megaphone is a welcome resolution for Hart, a beloved figure in the world of professional wrestling, and a heartwarming story as the holiday season unfolds.
