A massive cache of explosives – totaling over 2,800 kilograms – has been seized in faridabad, Haryana, in two separate operations, raising concerns about a potential terror plot. Authorities have arrested two individuals with ties to Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the examination, uncovering a network of weapons and materials capable of carrying out a large-scale attack.

On Monday, authorities seized 2,563 kilograms of explosives from a house in Fatehpur Taga village, located just four kilometers from Dhoj. This followed an earlier operation where a joint team from the Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana Police recovered approximately 350 kilograms of explosives, suspected to be ammonium nitrate, alongside a Krinkov assault rifle and other arms and ammunition.

Mujammil, a resident of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir and an employee at AL Falah Medical College and Hospital in Faridabad, has been arrested in connection with the case. According to reports, Mujammil had been residing in a rented room in dhoj for over three years and also rented the house where the 2,563 kilograms of explosives were discovered. A local Maulana reportedly facilitated the rental agreement and has also been taken into custody.
“The investigation is ongoing, and we are exploring all possible angles to determine the intended use of these explosives,” a senior official stated.
the discovery of the explosives was accompanied by the recovery of 20 timers and four battery timers, suggesting a planned operation. In addition to the Krinkov assault rifle, police also seized 83 live rounds, a pistol, two magazines, and other weapons during the initial raid.
Connections to Previous Arrest
The current investigation was spurred by details obtained following the arrest of Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather, a kashmiri doctor detained in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, days prior. Dr. Rather was apprehended for allegedly displaying posters supporting the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Srinagar.
Following dr.Rather’s interrogation,police initiated a series of raids in Faridabad,ultimately leading to Mujammil’s arrest approximately ten days ago. Further investigation based on Mujammil’s information led to the recovery of a Swift car belonging to a woman doctor also working at Al-Falah Hospital. The Krinkov assault rifle was found inside this vehicle.
