The Supreme Court of Preparatory Investigation issued a 15-day ban on leaving the country for former Prime Minister Betssy Chávez Chino, investigated for her alleged support for Pedro Castillo’s self-coup attempt on December 7, 2022.

This provision, resolved by the collegiate chaired by Judge Juan Checkley Soria, is due to the fact that Congress made this request before the Judiciary, since Chávez Chino is accused of being a co-author of the alleged crimes of rebellion and conspiracy.

The same request was made for the also parliamentarian and former minister, Roberto Sánchez, however, it was declared unfounded.

In compliance with the judicial resolution, the judicial police and the National Superintendence of Migrations were informed, so that the order can be executed.
