Teh german junior judo team has arrived in Lima, Peru, poised to compete in the 2025 Junior World championships. The event, set to begin October 4th, will see nearly 500 athletes – 487 participants from 68 nations – vying for top honors, with a near-equal representation of male and female competitors.

A Global Stage for Rising Judo Stars

The Junior World Championships represent a crucial stepping stone for young athletes aiming for senior-level success. With 233 female and 254 male judoka registered, the competition promises to be fierce. The German delegation consists of eleven athletes, a team of six women and five men, all under the guidance of sports director Michael Bazynski and national coaches Udo Quellmalz and Melek Melke.

According to a senior official, the athletes have been rigorously prepared and are in excellent condition. The team is optimistic about their chances and eager to showcase their skills on the international stage.
