Junior Women’s World Cup – Rs 5 crore prize for the champion Indian team

The inaugural Women’s Junior T20 Cricket World Cup (Under-19) started on the 14th in South Africa. India and England entered the finals at the end of the league and super six rounds of the 16-team tournament.

The final match between the two teams took place yesterday in Potchefstroom. Indian captain Shabali Verma won the toss and elected to bowl.

Batting first, England were bowled out for 68 in 17.1 overs. Aiming for an easy target, the Indian team scored 69 runs for 3 wickets in 14 overs and won the World Cup by a margin of 7 wickets.

India’s Didas Sadhu won the Man of the Match award and England captain Grace Scrivens won the Man of the Series award (total of 293 runs and 9 wickets).

In women’s cricket, the Indian youth team has achieved the title in its debut World Cup series. Congratulations are pouring in for them.

In this case, Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jai Shah congratulated the Indian women’s team for winning the World Cup and bringing great pride to the nation. He announced that a prize money of Rs 5 crore will be given to all players and assistants. He also invited the Indian junior team led by Shabali Verma to witness the final T20 match between India and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 1st to celebrate the victory.
