JYP Entertainment donates 500 million won to treat vulnerable children and adolescents

On the morning of the 25th, the agency JYP Entertainment (035900) (hereinafter referred to as JYP) and Yonsei Medical Center held a donation agreement ceremony for treatment expenses for children and adolescents from underprivileged families in the medical center director’s conference room in the general building of Yonsei Medical Center located in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials including JYP Vice President Byun Sang-bong, Yonsei University Health System Director Keum Ki-chang, Severance Hospital Director Lee Kang-young, Gangnam Severance Hospital Director Song Young-gu, Yongin Severance Hospital Director Kim Eun-kyung, and External Cooperation Director Lee Sang-gil.

The donation delivered by JYP to Yonsei Medical Center will be used to support the treatment of vulnerable children and adolescents under the age of 24 at home and abroad at Yonsei Medical Center’s affiliated hospitals, Severance Hospital, Gangnam Severance Hospital, and Yongin Severance Hospital.

JYP Vice President Byun Sang-bong said, “We hope that this will be of some help to the children who are experiencing financial difficulties. We hope that the children will have the opportunity to recover their health and achieve their dreams.”

In order to return the support and love received from the public to society, JYP has systematized CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities and launched various social contribution projects under the catchphrase ‘EDM (Every Dream Matters!)’ It is actively developing.

The ‘EDM Treatment Cost Support Project’, one of EDM’s core projects, is JYP’s representative social contribution activity that helps protect precious lives and dreams by supporting treatment costs for patients and their families experiencing financial difficulties. This year, JYP donated a total of 2.8 billion won to Yonsei Medical Center, Samsung Seoul Hospital, Asan Medical Center, National Cancer Center, and World Vision, and is carrying out activities to support patients so that they do not lose their dreams due to fighting the disease.

In addition, we are carrying out ‘EDM Wish Fulfillment Project’, a project that encourages hope by providing emotional support to children with incurable diseases, and ‘Love Earth’, an eco-friendly project that creates a healthier environment for life, and are working to build a better society with fans around the world.
