Kabát Postpones Tour Dates After Members Lose Voices to Virus

Rock band Kabát has postponed two concert dates in Brno and decided not to play its concerts on Slovakia in their original dates after members caught a virus, shifting the final destination of their tour.

The sudden health crisis struck the group approximately a week before their scheduled performances, forcing quick rescheduling decisions across multiple cities. Frontman Josef Vojtek announced the cancellations in a video posted to social media, explaining that the illness left the performers unable to take the stage. According to the band, three members lost their voices entirely, rendering them unable to speak or sing. Vojtek added that a doctor strictly prohibited him from performing.

Brno Shows Move to November 2026

The disruptions began with two shows originally planned for October 8 and October 10 in Brno, which the band initially postponed due to a viral bug that first appeared during a concert in Jihlava. The group initially announced the postponement on Facebook, telling fans they refused to deliver a substandard show.

Both replacement evenings remain booked at Brno’s Winning Group Arena.

  • The concert originally scheduled for October 8 is moved to November 17, 2026.
  • The performance originally set for October 10 is moved to November 19, 2026.

While the band called this arrangement the best solution available, the shift to weekday dates drew complaints from some ticket holders concerning travel complications and lost lodging reservations, though many fans expressed support and emphasized that the musicians’ health must come first.

Band Scraps Slovak Tour to Negotiate New Dates

Beyond the Brno dates, the band unanimously decided to scrap their planned Slovak tour rather than deliver a compromised performance. Kabát was originally scheduled to perform across Slovakia from October 13 to October 22 in Bratislava, Trenčín, Zvolen, Košice, and Poprad.

We unanimously reached the conclusion that we won't embarrass ourselves and won't perform in Slovakia on the original dates. Neither you nor we would enjoy it. The

Musicians are currently negotiating with stadium operators to secure new dates. Their goal is to resume Turné 2026 after the delayed Brno shows in a Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday schedule, depending on facility availability.

New Final Stop for Turné 2026

The rescheduling cascade fundamentally alters the conclusion of the entire concert series. Rather than wrapping up at Prague’s O2 Arena on November 11 as originally planned, the tour will now finish in Brno following the makeup dates.

The group intends to play the Prague O2 arena concert as scheduled, take roughly a week to recover, and then fulfill the postponed Brno and Slovak dates so they can deliver 100 percent performances. The band opened the tour strongly in Chomutov, but must now manage a significantly rearranged calendar to bring Turné 2026 to a close.
