Apple will reportedly unveil its new HomeView smart home hub on October 13 alongside an updated HomePod mini and Apple TV. Powered by an A18 chip and built around Siri AI without an App Store, the upcoming hub will be joined by a slate of co-developed LG smart home accessories.
The tech giant is staging a dedicated smart home showcase following invitations sent by marketing chief Greg Joswiak for a Welcome Home experience in New York scheduled for Tuesday, October 13. The event comes just a month after the company released its foldable phone and follows a crowded September hardware slate that brought the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, the iPhone Duo, AirPods 5, and new Apple Watch models. According to reporting from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the headlining product will be a dedicated smart display hub officially referred to as HomeView.

Hardware Lineup and Design Details for HomeView
HomeView will run on a standard A18 chip and arrive in two distinct hardware configurations. Customers can choose between a countertop model featuring a metal speaker base and a wall-mounted version built with a flat, square base. The countertop variant will be available in space gray, silver, starlight, and pink, while the wall-mounted edition comes in space gray and silver. The operating software leans heavily into ambient functionality, featuring a 6-inch square touchscreen design that displays photo libraries when idle and relies on an integrated camera to recognize household members, adjusting onscreen apps and data accordingly.
Unlike an iPad, HomeView will not feature an App Store. Instead, the device runs a streamlined selection of Apple applications designed entirely around Siri and connected smart home accessories. Alongside the hub, Apple is expected to introduce an updated Apple TV set-top box powered by an A19 chip and a refreshed HomePod mini utilizing an S10 chip. The HomePod mini update aims to fix the original model’s primary limitation by adopting Siri AI, allowing natural voice commands and hands-free answers drawn from trained data and personal information.

Apple Partners with LG for Smart Home Accessories
Beyond first-party hardware, Apple has collaborated with LG Electronics to build an extensive ecosystem of branded smart home gear. Rather than carrying the Apple logo, the accessories will bear the LG name in a second-party manufacturing partnership comparable to the historic development of the UltraFine 5K monitor. Regulatory filings and subsequent leaks reveal a comprehensive suite of security and climate hardware, including a Matter-compatible LG Smart Thermostat featuring a circular design, a large display for temperature and humidity, and a Far Sight Display
similar to Nest offerings.
The accessory ecosystem also includes an LG Smart Deadbolt Lock equipped with Matter support, Thread and BLE radios, an Ultra Wideband antenna for automatic unlocking as you approach with an iPhone or Apple Watch, and a keypad that rotates to open. Camera options span an LG Video Doorbell Wired with a downward-facing second lens, an Outdoor Cam Plug-In sealed with waterproof grease and O-rings, a Floodlight Cam equipped with dual side lamps, and a motorized Indoor Cam Plug-In featuring tilt mechanisms. Rounding out the lineup is an accompanying LG Temperature Sensor designed with a magnetic back for easy metal-surface attachment.

ADT Technicians May Provide Professional Installation Services
As Apple prepares for the mid-November shipping window for HomeView, additional clues point toward a broader service strategy. Apple may announce a partnership with home security company ADT at the October 13 event. Recent months have seen ADT hire low-voltage technicians in various U.S. cities under strict non-disclosure agreements, equipping them with iPhones rather than Android devices and scheduling role clarifications for October. Industry observers suggest these technicians could provide professional in-home installation services for the wall-mounted hub and LG accessory lineup.
While the Apple TV and HomePod mini are expected to take preorders immediately for an October 30 release, the LG-manufactured accessories are slated to arrive a few months later, and the HomeView hub itself is scheduled to ship in mid-November.
