The actress, known for her role in “The Big Bang Theory,” described a moment of overwhelming sadness and despair that occurred before a significant professional event.
A Moment of Profound Despair
“It was the premiere of the second season of Flight Attendant, and I woke up that morning, I was so depressed and so sad, I couldn’t even breathe and I was just laying on the floor,” Cuoco shared during an upcoming appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, according to Entertainment Weekly. “I literally thought I was gonna die. I really did. I said, ‘What am I doing?’”

The actress admitted the intensity of her despair nearly led her to cancel her appearance at the red carpet event. “My team came over to get me ready, and they literally got me ready on the floor,” she recalled. “I couldn’t get up. I’m like, ‘I can’t go. I can’t go anywhere. I blew up my life. My life’s over.’ I truly thought that. Never getting married again. I’m never gonna have kids. This is it.”
Cuoco and Cook announced their separation in 2021 after three years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in 2022. The actress is now in a relationship with actor Tom Pelphrey, with whom she has a daughter, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, born in March 2023.
