The cemetery in the town of Kalisz in Poland is in the hands of people about whom it is not clear what they are plotting: The municipality has previously announced that it is willing to hand over the cemetery to Jewish hands | One of the women close to the Jewish community took over the cemetery 30 percent is in her hands, and 70 percent she left to the mercy of the municipality that can build there and destroy the tombs
The Jewish community of the city of Wroclaw in Poland agreed to take over 30% of the area of the cemetery in the city of Kalisz, but not the entire cemetery. Although the municipality for its part, was looking for someone to take over the entire cemetery area in Kalisz for free.
The Jewish community in nearby Wroclaw did not take the entire cemetery. But only 30%, why? Probably a reason why there is a business horizon, otherwise why is the community rushing to sign a non-profit cemetery? This is the question of local authorities working to preserve cemeteries in Poland.
Meir Bolka, head of the Generation organization, which deals with the preservation of Polish Jewish heritage, tells Behadrei Haredim, “In fact, they only took for themselves what was worthwhile. First, the area they took, there are no buildings and no need to demolish it. Nothing. (Most of the area has an old school slated for demolition and that was the main requirement of the municipality).
Second, in the same area is located the Zion of the “Star of Abraham” which attracts hundreds of worshipers. The fear is that one day someone will decide to do something in the cemetery against the will of the Jews. Therefore whoever took the place officially, took only 30%. The goal is to leave the 70% in the lurch. So that one day someone could build there and maybe destroy the tombs.
For more than a year now, a lady living in Kalisz has been telling everyone that she is Jewish, Kalisz people doubt her Judaism, since she is not a descendant of Kalisz descendants. Anyone involved in the attempt to take ownership of the land agreed to all the conditions set by the municipality, but it knew exactly where to put sticks in the wheels. So that no one gets full ownership of the cemetery.
The same woman acted behind the scenes in front of the mayor and turned everyone against the redemption of the cemetery and handing it over to Jews who want to guard it, while also deceiving everyone including the descendants who no one asked their opinion, what to do about where their loved ones and fathers are buried.
