Abu Dhabi: World star Kamal Haasan has said that Malayalees play a crucial role in the success of Vikram cinema. Malayalees love him and his film as much or more than Tamils. The movie is running in a packed audience in Kerala.

He said that this love loan, which he started getting at the age of 18, is increasing day by day and he owes a lot to the Malayalees. He was speaking to reporters at the Abu Dhabi India Social Center in the UAE to promote the film.

As he sought the welfare of Kerala, which was devastated by the floods and the Kovid, the Malayalees asked him to ensure that the industry in Tamil Nadu was doing well. He also recalled that Malayalees had said that if food products arrived from Tamil Nadu, they would go hungry in Kerala.

The discussion with Kamal Haasan, which is scheduled to take place at 6.30 am at ISC, was delayed by two and a half hours due to confusion over getting permission. The IAC explained that the permission was taken as an interaction with film actor Kamal Haasan.

However, the final approval was given after officials from the Department of Culture and Tourism visited and confirmed that it was not a political event.
