Karan Johar Fuels Romance Rumors Between ‘Saiyaara’ Stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda
Bollywood director Karan Johar has seemingly confirmed speculation surrounding a blossoming romance between rising stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, following their successful collaboration in the film Saiyaara. While the pair have remained tight-lipped about their personal lives, Johar’s recent comments on a talk show have ignited further interest in their potential relationship.
Since Saiyaara’s release, audiences have praised the undeniable on-screen chemistry between Panday and Padda, quickly sparking rumors of a connection beyond the screen. Despite neither actor publicly addressing the reports, sources close to the production have suggested a deeper connection. According to Deccan Chronicle, the pair are reportedly in a serious relationship.
The speculation gained significant traction when Johar, appearing as a guest on Sania Mirza’s talk show, was directly asked to name Bollywood’s newest “It couple.” Without hesitation, Johar responded, “Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.” When pressed further by Mirza, who inquired if the pair were officially an item, Johar offered a diplomatic response, stating, “Oh! Well, they’re not official yet. And if they’re going to be, I’m not sure. I haven’t checked.”
Adding fuel to the fire, viral clips surfaced in October showing Padda celebrating her 23rd birthday with Panday. The actress was seen cutting a large cake, with Panday affectionately offering her a bite while the Saiyaara title track played in the background.
A source familiar with Yash Raj Films (YRF) and Aditya Chopra described the relationship as “one of the most beautiful love stories in the entertainment industry.” The source explained that the connection developed organically during the filming of Saiyaara, with Panday providing support and care for Padda, ultimately blossoming into a “deep love” and a “committed relationship.”
Further observations have fueled the romance narrative. Since Saiyaara’s success, Panday and Padda have been frequently spotted together in Mumbai, including a shopping trip alongside Panday’s mother, Deanne Panday. Padda also participated in Raksha Bandhan festivities at the home of Panday’s cousin, actress Ananya Panday, suggesting a growing integration into each other’s families.
While neither Panday nor Padda have officially confirmed their relationship, the mounting evidence and now, Johar’s suggestive comments, strongly indicate a romance is in full bloom.
