The case related to hijab is scheduled to be heard in the Karnataka High Court tomorrow.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Puppet has said that a decision on the reopening of colleges will be taken depending on tomorrow’s hearing. Schools up to 10th class are reopening tomorrow. However, the holiday has been extended to colleges and universities till the 16th.
Puppet said the decision would be made only after the court’s opinion on the opening of the colleges was known.
The High Court, which heard various petitions filed last Friday against and in favor of wearing hijab, has imposed an interim ban on colleges wearing religious attire until the final verdict.
