The woman is the granddaughter of a famous Nataswara scholar from Chinnamanur, Theni district. He is a Bharatanatyam teacher from a traditional music family. Her husband is in government service. They have a son of marriageable age. The woman, who has been working as a prom teacher for 23 years, is working at the District Government Music School in Jawahar Bazaar, Karur. Instructor Zakir Hussain arrived at the District Government Music School on the morning of Feb. 28 to inspect. He then allegedly behaved rudely towards the Bharatanatyam teacher.
The victim has sent a letter of complaint to the director of the arts and culture department on March 8. He said only online education was taught.

As no action has been taken for this, he went to the Directorate of Arts and Culture in Chennai on March 31 and lodged a complaint. The Chief Minister, Karur District Collector and the Minister of Electricity should take appropriate action and give maximum punishment to the culprit.
Following this, on the orders of District Collector Prabhushankar, Karur District Governor NS Balasubramaniam and District Governor Panneer Selvam visited the Karur District Music School today (Apr. 4) and questioned the teacher for about an hour. It is learned that a report in this regard is yet to be filed with the District Collector.
