Royal Chance Film Festival-2024 has been held in Los Angeles, America. At the festival, the Bangladeshi film ‘Kathgolap’ was selected for screening in the main competition and the film was later screened at the Royal Chance Film Festival. This was confirmed by the film’s producer Veermuktijoddha and former senior jail superintendent Forman Ali.
The film, which has been submitted to the Censor Board, is participating in various international festivals before its release. In this regard, the producer of the film said, “Kathgolap” film has already won about a dozen (11) international awards in different countries of the world.
He also said, ‘This is very positive news. We are trying to participate in various festivals. The ‘Kathgolap’ team will be motivated if we get everyone’s cooperation. The movie ‘Kathgolap’ is made by combining three different stories. I believe ‘Kathgolap’ will increase the image and reputation of Bangladeshi films by showing them at various film festivals in the country and abroad.
Meanwhile, the producers and makers of the movie have expressed their disappointment as the movie has been hanging on the censors for a long time. Produced under the banner of Dreamland Entertainment, the story, dialogues and screenplay are written by Aporn Rubel. Cinematography was by Nahian Belal.
