Kathy Griffin Files for Divorce from Husband Randy Bick, Citing “Irreconcilable Differences”

Kathy Griffin, the comedian and former CNN New Year’s Eve host, has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly four years, Randy Bick. The petition was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Griffin and Bick tied the knot on New Year’s Day less than three years after Griffin faced backlash for posting a controversial picture of herself holding what appeared to be the decapitated head of then-President Trump. This led to her being fired from her annual New Year’s Eve hosting gig with Anderson Cooper on CNN.

The “My Life on the D List” comedian appeared to reference the divorce on her social media, writing, “Well …. s—. This sucks.”

According to TMZ, Griffin and Bick have a prenuptial agreement in place, and Griffin has requested that the court not award any spousal support. The couple, who have no children together, first started dating in 2011. Griffin was previously married to actor Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006 and accused him of stealing from her in a 2006 interview on “Larry King Live.”

In a 2016 interview with People magazine, Griffin commented on her relationship with Bick, saying, “Well you know I didn’t think it would last [because] he’s 18 years younger than I am!…We’ve been together five years now, and we have a great time, and he’s very sweet and very mellow. He’s like a regular guy, you know, he’s like a real guy. He’s not like a Hollywood guy.”

Griffin is also making a return to the spotlight with a new comedy tour titled “My Life on the PTSD-List.” The Associated Press contributed to this report.
