NEW YORK, February 9, 2024 — New York singer-songwriter Katzin is set to release his debut album, Buckaroo, this Friday, February 13th. The album follows a series of well-received singles, including “Anna,” “Wild Horses,” and “Nantucket,” and today brings the release of “Cowboy,” a track that expertly blends the raw energy of Pixies with the sweeping scope of heartland rock.
A Sonic Fusion for a New Generation
Katzin’s forthcoming album promises a dynamic soundscape, culminating in the release of his latest single, “Cowboy.”

“We had about six or seven tunes for the album already, and we wanted a standout, shiny, loud song,” Katzin explained, discussing the creation of “Cowboy” with producer Max Morgen. “So we sat down and wrote ‘Cowboy’ together. It felt like we were really in lockstep. It just came out so seamlessly.” The unique kick drum sound in the track, he revealed, is actually the result of him banging his boots on Morgen’s wooden deck.
