The bike was recently launched in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 5.24 lakh, days after Kawasaki released a teaser for the Ninja 500 coming to India soon. With this, Kawasaki has expanded its portfolio in the middleweight sport bike segment in India.

The weight of the Ninja 500 bike is 171 kg. This is 3 kg more than the Ninja 400 bike (168 kg). But at the same time it is slightly less than bikes including the 175 kg Aprilia RS 457 and 172 kg KTM RC 390.
Engine of Ninja 500 Bike:
The new Ninja 500 is powered by a new 451cc, parallel-twin engine that churns out 45bhp of power at 9000rpm and 42.6Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm. This engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox and slip & assist function. With this, the company promises that the Ninja 500 will deliver better performance.

Design of Ninja 500 Bike:
The design of the Ninja 500 bike looks like an evolution of the look of the Ninja 400 bike with sharper styling. The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is based on a trellis frame and is the newest sport-tourer from Japanese brand Kawasaki. It features a full fairing, clip-on bars and a split headlight design similar to other Ninja products. Currently this bike is only available in Metallic Spark Black color option.

Features of Ninja 500 Bike:
The SE version of the Ninja 500 has not been launched in India. It has a color TFT dash. But the standard trim of this bike introduced here comes with an LCD instrument cluster with phone connectivity. The Ninja 500 bike offers Bluetooth connectivity as standard. It also provides access to a lot of information through the LCD instrument cluster provided.

Suspension Details:
The Ninja 500 bike has a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. As far as braking is concerned, the bike gets a 310mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. It gets 17-inch wheels. The front disc brake of this bike is larger in diameter than the one offered on the Ninja 400 bike. The seat height of this bike is 785 mm. Bookings for the Ninja 500 bike have started and deliveries are expected to start in March.
