Kochi: Forward Adrian Luna will not play for Kerala Blasters who are preparing for the Super Cup. Luna was asking the team management for leave due to personal reasons. The demand was accepted by the management. Blasters released a press release in this regard. In a statement, the Blasters said they understand the importance of the Super Cup and will however respect Luna’s request.
The Super Cup is a battle of pride for the Blasters after the controversial goal and the much-talked-about ISL. The match between Kozhikode and Mancheri is sure to be hot. Blasters also have competition with Bengaluru FC. Meanwhile, the absence of in-form Luna is a setback for Blasters. But the presence of players who can bring out excellence even in Luna’s absence is a positive factor for the team.
