During the search, the police got important information that the accused had traveled to different places and committed theft. It was learned that both the accused had left for Kerala by train via Chennai for a series of robberies.
The police team returned to Chennai. The two accused, who were traveling in a train, were arrested by the MGR with the help of the Railway Police. He was arrested at the railway station. They were apprehended by the Thrissur West police after encircling the entire compartment. The assistance of the Railway Police was received due to the strong intervention of the Thrissur City Police Commissioner.
