Kervignac Theater Troupe Announces New Season with Comedic Plays

A new season of theatrical performances is set to unfold in Kervignac, France, with the local troupe preparing two new comedic plays for audiences in November 2025. Following the success of their previous productions, the Le petit théâtre de Kervignac will present “Ehpad Concerns” and “Heaven my husband,” promising an evening of laughter and insightful storytelling.

The troupe, founded in 2022 by Damien Jacquemin, quickly gained recognition for its engaging productions, including “At work” and “Dad’s ghost.” Jacquemin will once again take the helm as writer and director, continuing his commitment to a distinctly comedic style.

New Plays Explore Life’s Complexities

“Ehpad Concerns” delves into the lives of residents within a nursing home, portraying their nostalgia, dreams, and mischievous spirits under the watchful eyes of a unique nursing staff. Jacquemin aims to address the often-overlooked experiences of the elderly with humor and sensitivity.

Meanwhile, “Heaven my husband” promises a more audacious and lighthearted exploration of misunderstandings arising from a chance encounter, leading to a series of comical situations.

Both plays are expected to run for approximately 50 minutes each, with an intermission allowing for set changes and audience refreshment.

A Commitment to Community and Charity

The troupe’s previous season culminated in a successful performance in Lanester in September 2025, according to Guy Larchevêque, vice-president in charge of communications at the Petit Théâtre de Kervignac. “The two new plays are sure to delight the public,” Larchevêque stated. “In any case, we had a lot of fun repeating them.”

Beyond entertainment, the Petit Théâtre de Kervignac is dedicated to supporting charitable organizations. The troupe aims to benefit causes such as Espoir Emma’lice and the SNSM (National Society for Rescue at Sea) through their performances. The group also expressed gratitude for the growing support they receive through social media engagement, which they see as validation of their work.
