Kevin Durant was officially introduced as the new player of the Phoenix Suns. KD moved to the Suns in a trade for Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson and 4 first round picks and is expected to play only after the All-Star game, but today (Thursday) he was officially introduced to the team.
The former MVP, who won 2 championships as a Golden State player, admitted: “There is pressure because I am one of the best players in the history of the game. Every time I step on the court people expect me to do great things, I improve every day and I like to wake up to it.”
“Phoenix’s season in 2013/14, in which they won 48 games and did not reach the playoffs, made me appreciate this team very much. As a player, I follow teams and cities that I want to play in,” he added Durant.
Durant He referred to his time in Brooklyn: “I built a family there. They are part of my journey. I was disappointed that we couldn’t finish the season after Kyrie Irving requested a trade, we built the culture we always wanted. I didn’t know what was going on with Kyrie.”
“There were a lot of ups and downs, we didn’t get what we wanted but these were 4 very special years after I injured my Achilles. They have a promising future,” he added.
