The list of key weapons used by Ukraine to fight Russian forces has been released.

Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky called on the US Congress for more military support to fight Russia.

In response, US President Joe Biden promised to provide $ 800 million worth of weapons to fight Russia.

The new package includes 800 anti-Stinger anti-aircraft systems, 2,000 javelin rockets, 100 ‘tactical’ drones, 20 million small arms ammunition and 25,000 sets of body armor, the Hindustan Times reported.

S-300 missile defence systems:

The S-300 missile defense systems are state-of-the-art missiles of Russian design owned by some European NATO members. The AFP report says it is a viable long-range anti-aircraft system and easy to integrate into the Ukrainian military.

Stinger anti-aircraft systems:

It is a shoulder missile used by ground forces to counter aerial threats at low altitudes. Can also shoot from helicopters. The United States already provides 600 of these. Other countries, such as Germany, have pledged hundreds of pledges to Ukraine.

Switchblade ‘kamikaze’ drones:

There are two types of Switchblade ‘kamikaze’ drones – Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600. It is 1.3 meters long. Both can be launched from land, air or sea. But Switchblade 600 type drones have a range of 50 miles and can strike accurately from anti-armor warships.

Javelin missiles:

It is an anti-tank missile system that uses thermal imaging to detect its target. The AFP says the United States will supply 2,000 of these missiles to Ukraine. Reports indicate that their performance is staggering, with a 93% lethal rate against Russian tanks.

Bayraktar TB2 drones :

There are about 20 Turkish war drones in Ukraine. These are small in number, compared to the ground war, but important for Ukrainian morale because it is said that Russia could not control the Ukrainian sky because of this.
