Madgaon: North East United beat FC Goa in injury time in the first match of the ISL on Saturday. North East missed the best chances throughout the match and finally won the game with a long ranger goal scored by Khasa Kamara in injury time. North East won by two goals to one.
In the first half, both teams were level on goals scored. North East took the lead in the 11th minute through Rochercella. Within two minutes, Romario brought Goa along.
After Goa scored the equalizer, the North East continued to attack. Dheeraj Singh saved two smashing shots by Courier. In the 25th minute, the courier came close to scoring again but Dheeraj came to the rescue again.
But as the match drew to a close, Kamara smashed a goal to give North East the lead.
