Riyad: What has made Bhaskaran Mash very dear to the Malayalees is the Thenurunna movie songs composed by him. The era in which he shined as a poet, film lyricist, actor, producer and director was the golden days of Malayalam cinema. Sixteen years after P Bhaskaran Master passed away, Bhaskara Sandhya Riad organized by Kodungallur Expatriate Association (Kia Riad) was different from the song sandhyas we have seen and heard so far. The Bhaskara Sandhya held under the leadership of Jalil Koch, who has been in the music scene for more than a quarter of a century in Riyadh, was a new experience.

In 1954, when the film ‘Neelakuil’ directed by Bhaskaran Mash and Ramukaryat changed the history of Malayalam cinema, Bhaskara Sandhya was an opportunity to once again hum and enjoy the songs like Kayalarikath Valayerinjappam, Ellirum Chollan, Maan and Calling Mayilna Mayilna Calling and other songs written by Bhaskaran Mash. Bhaskaran Mash songs performed by Qais Rasheed saxo phone reading turned out to be new. This is the first time such a program is being held in Riyadh.

Community activist Shihab Kotukad inaugurated the cultural gathering organized as part of the music program and presided over by Yahia Kodungallur. Jayan Kodungallur gave a keynote speech on Bhaskaran mashe. Ibrahim Subuhan, Kunji Kumbala, Sudhir Kummil, Salim Kalakara, Media Forum President Shamnad Karunagapalli, Sattar Kayakulam, Latif Thechi, Salim Arthil, Sagir Andarath spoke, Program Coordinator Shanawaz Kodungallur welcomed and Abdul Salam gave a vote of thanks.
