The semi-finals of the National League opened tonight (Wednesday) with two big dramas at the end of which the away teams won and took the home advantage. In the north, Urbani Nahariya lost Yogev Ohayon in the second quarter due to injury and Kiryat Ata took advantage of this to win in a close finish when Omar Poleg missed a three on the buzzer. Maccabi Urbani Ramat Gan also took the home side after a 93:91 victory over Hapoel Hevel Modiin, which had already returned from a 21-point deficit, but surrendered to Muriel Lotati, who provided a big move and a basket of victory.

A super dramatic game ended in the victory of the team Marj. Shmulik Brenner’s team started the game great and throughout the first half they seemed to be on their way to an easy victory. At the start of the third quarter Lace Dunn was sent off, hence the momentum changed. Yehu Orland’s team sniped from everywhere and even took the lead, but in a critical attack Muriel Lotati easily penetrated the paint and then the home side failed to produce a shot situation. Shmulik Brenner received a huge game from Dakrai Tucker and 32 points from the bench on the way to an away win in the first game of the series.
