Noida: The authorities demolished a part of the house of a Kisan Morcha leader accused of insulting a woman in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The action comes after a video emerged of a Kisan Morcha leader assaulting and threatening a young woman in a housing society in Noida. The district administration demolished a part of the house of Kisan Morcha leader Shrikant Tyagi, a resident of Noida Housing Society, citing illegal construction. Police and municipal authorities are leading the demolition. Proceedings are ongoing.
A few days ago, there was an argument between Srikanth Tyagi and a resident woman. The dispute was related to a tree planted by Srikanth Tyagi near the park in Sector 93B, Noida. Local residents complained that Tyagi had encroached on the public land and planted the tree. The demand of the women and others was that the tree poses a security threat and should be cut down.
The woman had complained that Tyagi grabbed her by the hand and pushed her after threatening to face the consequences if she touched the tree. The woman says that Tyagi abused her, her husband and children with very bad words. The footage of the incident went viral on social media.
The complainant, including the complainant, demanded an apology from the national leadership of the BJP. According to Tyagi’s Twitter profile, he is a BJP National Executive Member and National Coordinator of Yuva Kisan Samiti. Pictures of Tyagi standing with top BJP leaders were also widely circulated on social media.
But local BJP leaders rejected Tyagi’s claim. The local leadership claims that Srikanth Tyagi has nothing to do with the BJP or the nutritional organizations. After the incident, the Noida police intensified their search for Tyagi, who went on the run. After the incident, the police took four people, including Tyagi’s wife, into custody for questioning. Noida Police informed that four teams have been formed to nab Tyagi.
