A press report, today, Wednesday, revealed Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp’s position on fielding his Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, against Sparta Prague.
According to the British Liverpool Echo network, Klopp is considering resting several major stars, especially in light of the result of the big first-leg match, and the almost guarantee of qualification.
She added, “Klopp wants to consider not starting many senior players, led by Mohamed Salah, in preparation for the match against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals, next Sunday.”
The Reds’ lineup for tomorrow’s match may witness the appearance of third goalkeeper Adrian for the first time this season, and in front of him is Jarrell Quansah, Joe Gomez, Connor Bradley, and Kostas Tsimikas.
In the middle, James McConnell, Bobby Clarke and Harvey Elliott may be pushed.
The report indicated that “Salah has only started one match since the beginning of 2024, due to the injury he suffered with the Egyptian national team in the African Nations, with two matches as a substitute against Brentford and Manchester City.”
