Registration for the program “Ateliê de Saberes: Colecções Construções em Arte-Educação” is open, starting this Friday (19), at the Pinacoteca do Ceará, a museum that is part of the Cultural Equipment and Spaces Network of the Secretariat of Culture of Ceará (Secult), managed in partnership by Instituto Mirante. The program offers 35 places and registration, which is free, remains open until April 30th via the link available HERE.
The training aims to build dialogues between the educational actions of the Pinacoteca do Ceará and the practices developed by education professionals, such as formal and non-formal education teachers, museum educators and other researchers in the field of Education.
Furthermore, the program seeks to reflect on the role of the museum and its educational approaches in the city, discussing the social, political and artistic aspects involved in formal and non-formal education through modern and contemporary art. Another objective is to promote artistic appreciation among educators and encourage the creation of their own pedagogical projects.
Also on the agenda is the debate on the concept of Museum-Atelier and the stimulation of artistic enjoyment for education professionals, together with the presentation of the actions developed by the Educational Team programs.
How will the selection be
The course will provide 35 places in total, 60% of which will be aimed at mediators, educators and teachers working in the public education network and/or in community actions in Ceará and 30% for mediators, educators and teachers working in the private education network and/or in private institutions in Ceará. Furthermore, 10% of vacancies are open to the general public. The selection process will also take into account the territorial factor.
In addition to the regular vacancies, 10 places will be offered on the waiting list, following the same percentage distribution. Vacancies may be filled if initially selected participants withdraw. The course will be led by the Educational Team, made up of facilitators specialized in the area.
The selection process for training will take place between April 19th and 30th. Registration must be completed using the form available HERE. The analysis will take place from May 1 to 3, followed by the release of results on May 6.
What will the classes be like?
The “Atelier de Saberes” will last 5 months, with classes scheduled from May to September 2024. Two monthly meetings will be held, always on Saturdays, starting on May 11th. The total workload is 25 hours, divided into ten meetings, which will take place from 2pm to 4:30pm.
Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the course, as long as they complete at least 75% of the course load, allowing up to two absences throughout the period.

About the Pinacoteca
Opened on December 3, 2022, the Pinacoteca do Ceará has the mission of safeguarding, preserving, researching and disseminating the State Government’s art collection, being a space for training actions with artists, the school community, families, social movements, organizations not -government and other professionals in the field of arts and culture. It is a space for experimentation, research and reflection to promote dialogue between art and education based on artistic practices.
