Kannur continues to dominate State School Arts Festival
Kollam: The fourth day of the State School Arts Festival saw Kannur district maintaining its lead with 871 points after the completion of 220 events. Kozhikode followed closely with 866 points, while Palakkad secured the third position with 860 points. The competition is set to conclude tomorrow, with 19 more events yet to be completed.
However, heavy rains in the evening disrupted the schedule of matches at most of the venues. The drama competition venue had to suspend the competition for over an hour due to a leak in the roof, leading to a delay that extended the event till midnight. Waterlogging in the first venue also led to a halt in the matches.
In addition, there were complaints about the lack of lighting on the roads leading to the Vattapatt venue. Organizers intervened promptly to resolve the issue and ensure smooth proceedings.
Despite the challenges posed by the weather, the festival continues to showcase the talent and hard work of the participants. With the final day approaching, all eyes are on the remaining events and the likely victors in this year’s Kalolsavam.
