Beijing: Kovid cases are reported to be on the rise again in China. On Tuesday, 5,280 new cases were reported. According to the National Health Commission of China, this is the highest daily rate in the last two years. The commission said 1,000 cases were reported for two consecutive days, bringing the total number of new Kovid cases in Jilin province to 3,100.

The high-tech city of Shenzhen also closed on Monday after a lockdown was announced in the northeastern region of Changchun in the wake of an increase in Kovid cases. The number of cases in China has been on the rise, with most countries trying to ease sanctions following a drop in Kovid cases.

According to the China Daily, locals in the city of Shenzhen have been told not to go outside except for essential services and to suspend public transport. Authorities also instructed all passengers from Shenzhen to ensure that the nucleic acid test result was negative.

Kovid cases are on the rise in all major cities in China, including Shenzhen and Beijing and Shanghai. Local authorities say the proliferation of the Omicron variant has led to a surge in new Kovid cases. China’s Vice Premier Sun Chunlan has called on all areas where more Kovid cases are being reported to take immediate action to control the situation.

A senior Chinese official claimed yesterday that China was one of the best countries in preventing the spread of the Kovid epidemic. This was followed by an increase in Kovid cases in the country. He attributed the success to China’s adoption of a strict zero case policy to regulate national and international travel with local lockdowns.
