Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid for 6238 persons in the state. During the last 24 hours, 54,108 samples were tested. The 30 deaths in the past few days have been confirmed to be due to Kovid. All 14 deaths reported on appeal have been reported. This brings the total death toll in the state to 49,591. 2390 people who were treated were cured.

Of these, 1,12,235 are under home / institutional quarantine and 2,538 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 261 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Of those diagnosed with the disease, 72 were from outside the state. 5776 people were affected through contact. Contact source for 341 is not clear. 49 health workers were affected by the disease. With this, 34,902 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 52,00,350 people have so far been liberated from Kovid.
