Big budget movie ‘Valimai’ starring Ajith Kumar has been delayed. The film, which was slated to release on the 13th of this month, has been postponed due to Kovid circumstances. The ‘Valimai’ team said in a statement that they were also looking forward to the theatrical experience of the fans but decided to extend the release for their own safety in the face of increasing Kovid cases. Announce a new release date only after the situation returns to normal.

This is the third major film to delay its release in the wake of the rising number of Kovid cases in the country. Rajamouli’s RRR from Telugu and Radhe Shyam’s Prabhas’ multilingual film are the other films that have been postponed earlier.

After a gap of two and a half years, ‘Valimai’ was a much awaited Ajith Kumar movie. ‘Valimai’ is directed by H. Vinod, who is notable for his roles in ‘Nerkonda Parvai’ and ‘Theeran’. Ajith plays an IPS officer in the film. Karthikeyan, Huma Qureshi and Yogi Babu play other important roles. ‘Valimai’ is the Tamil debut film of Bollywood actor John Abraham.
