Jeddah: The number of new Kovid patients in Saudi Arabia has dropped to less than a thousand. Today, 997 new patients and 1,928 cures were reported. This brings the total number of Kovid cases reported in the country so far to 7,38,331 and the number of cases to 7,09,420. No deaths were newly reported. This brings the total death toll in the country to 8,982.
Currently, 19,929 people are being treated for the disease. Of these, 876 are in critical condition. They are in the intensive care unit of various hospitals across the country. The condition of the rest is satisfactory. Kovid release rate in the country is 96.08 per cent and death rate is 1.21 per cent.
Number of newly reported cases in major cities of the country: Riyadh 295, Dammam 86, Jeddah 70, Hufuf 42, Jizan 30, Ta’if 28, Madinah 26, Buraidah 24, Makkah 23. So far 6,00,93,317 Doscovid vaccine has been distributed in Saudi Arabia. Of these, 2,58,42,521 were the first dose, 2,40,35,875 the second dose, and 1,02,14,921 the booster dose.
