A woman who went to herd cattle near Kovilpatti mysteriously died. Relatives were involved in a road blockade with the woman’s body demanding an inquiry into the death and action to be taken.
Jyotiammal (25) is the wife of Chinnathurai from Kaliamman Kovil Street, Subramaniapuram South, Kayatharu, near Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi District. He is a cattle herder who went to graze cows on the road from Kayathar to Pudukottai on the 22nd.
In this condition, Jyotiammal is lying with a serious head injury. Those who passed by were shocked to see this and rushed Jyotiammala to a private hospital by 108 ambulance. The doctor who examined him there said that Jyotiammal was already dead.
Kayathar police rushed to the spot, seized Jyotiammal’s body and sent it to Nellai Government Hospital for autopsy. They are investigating how Jyotiammal died.
At this stage Jyotiammal’s body was autopsied and handed over to his relatives today. Demanding action to find out the truth of the mysterious death of the young girl and urging the family of the deceased woman to provide proper relief, her relatives along with Jyotiammal were involved in a sudden road blockade in Kadampur Road Indira Nagar area.
Following this, Kayathar Tashildar Pechimuthu, D.S.P. Udayasooriyan held talks with those involved in the road blockade. The police were investigating the death and the continued struggle of the struggle to continue the assure that the action would be taken to provide relief.
