KUWAIT CITY ∙ Submission of nomination papers for the Kuwaiti parliamentary elections has been completed. There are 255 candidates including 14 women from 5 constituencies. 258 people had applied but 3 people had withdrawn their application later. 47, 53, 37, 68 and 50 candidates are contesting from constituencies 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively. Out of 14 women, 8 are from third constituency. 50 people from 5 constituencies, including 10 from one constituency, will be elected to the National Assembly on April 4. In the election held in 2023, 207 people, including 15 women, contested.
